shingles

leave me be
get out
go way
way back when before then
before the past
that was me

leave me be now
away with you
go to
let me sleep in hope
of sleep
exit doors are luminous
and beckoning
there’s fire in this house
a burning torso

be gone with you
you’ve overstayed
your never welcome
here in me
there’s the door
slam it as you leave
if you like
and never be
returning

your baffling stain
of scattered shapes littering my skin
resemble
leopard markings
I’ll go feral
and if I could would claw you down
scratch away the itching sore
till blood

and eat
the very thing that’s eating me
